being human.

Sometimes you know how you feel. Sometimes the word takes a little finding. Guess You gives you a place to try a few on and see what fits.

Start with a feeling.

Type a word or phrase, explore the portraits, and choose what feels close to your experience. There’s room to notice what’s happening in your body, your thoughts, or your day. You decide how far to go.

The collection is a starting point. Feelings overlap, words mean different things to different people, and we’ll keep adding to it.

Go a little deeper.

The optional reflection prompts draw on Nonviolent Communication (NVC): noticing what happened, naming a feeling, exploring a need, and making a request. You can keep your words for yourself or use them to start a conversation.

Vocabulary is adapted from the CNVC Feelings and Needs inventories. Visit Resources to learn more about NVC or find support.

About the portraits. The people shown here are fictional, created with AI for Guess You. Their expressions offer a way into the words; your own experience determines what fits.

Reflection notes. They stay in this page until you choose to copy, download, email, or share them. They aren’t sent to Guess You or saved after you reload.

If a word isn’t found, you can choose to send a short phrase to help grow the collection. We store the phrase and how often it is submitted in a private Cloudflare database. Please leave out names and personal details. Reflections are never included. Cloudflare processes network information to deliver and protect this service.
